Do you have doubts about the best martial art?
Or perhaps the most effective technique
…Ninja or Samurai?
Is he violent? where is the spirituality in martial art?
I have an age and/or health problem, can I exercise?
I am Cristian Deiber and I have been practicing various traditional schools with passion for over 30 years and since 2008 I have been studying regularly in Japan with great masters of some renowned schools (Ninjutsu, Aiki Jujutsu, Iaijutsu, Karate, Internal Arts).
I will be your host and guide in this seminar dedicated to you! To you, your passion and your questions for martial arts!
I understood that learning from my masters meant being part of a tradition and enriching my experience with new cultural and spiritual aspects and this radically changed my life. From Shimazu and Kimura sensei I learned the therapeutic techniques linked to martial arts schools, from Machida sensei I also learned esoteric practices, mental control, breathing as well as the spiritual values of the martial art. Subsequently I also began my academic career preparing a doctorate on the topic of modern transmission in classical martial arts schools. But let’s tell more about it together.
We will practically experiment with various combat/personal defense approaches to the martial arts practiced at our dojo: #Ninjutsu #AikiJujutsu #Iajutsu #Kenjutsu #Kenpo
Anyone is welcome, regardless of age or gender!
We don’t have competitions, so all we need is Passion!

Conclusion
My journey in the martial arts has been far more than the acquisition of techniques; it has been a path of cultural immersion, spiritual enrichment, and personal transformation. Learning from masters such as Shimazu and Kimura Sensei allowed me to explore the therapeutic dimensions of martial arts, revealing the profound connection between movement, energy, and healing. With Machida Sensei, I delved deeper into esoteric practices, mental discipline, controlled breathing, and the spiritual philosophy underlying the martial traditions. Each lesson was not just a skill to be memorized but a doorway to understanding a lineage, a culture, and a way of life that transcends the physical aspects of the arts.
This holistic approach reshaped my perception of martial arts as a living tradition. I began to see that mastery involves more than strength or technique—it requires awareness, intention, and alignment with values passed down through generations. The teachings emphasized the integration of body, mind, and spirit, demonstrating that martial arts can cultivate not only skill but also character, resilience, and insight.
Inspired by these experiences, I extended my learning into the academic realm, pursuing a doctorate focused on the modern transmission of classical martial arts schools. This research allowed me to analyze how ancient practices adapt and endure in contemporary contexts while preserving their essence. It has been a way to bridge the traditional and the modern, honoring the lineage of the arts while exploring their relevance for today’s practitioners.
Ultimately, my journey reflects the richness of participating in a living tradition. Each master, each lesson, and each practice has contributed to a deeper understanding of the martial arts as both a physical discipline and a spiritual path. It is this intertwining of heritage, knowledge, and personal growth that continues to inspire me—and invites others to explore, reflect, and walk the path alongside us.
