But instinct lacks this ability. He only wants instant gratification. For nearly three million years our ancestors lived in a state of food scarcity. When they saw food, especially if it was delicious, they decided to consume it immediately and in the greatest quantity possible.

From here we receive the signals “Don’t eat, you don’t have to” and “Eat, faster and more” at the same time.

But there is a secret that will reduce the difficulties you experience when you choose to give up a certain food by 90%. You just have to increase the rational part when making a decision. For this you need to follow the following simple and effective rule.

ANALYZE ALL THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE SITUATION IN WHICH YOU LOSE CONTROL

The best weapon in the fight against extra pounds is knowledge. The more you know, the more confident you will be in what you do. The more confident you are, the less anxiety will decrease and the weaker your instincts will become.

Yes, it’s difficult: each of us studies, works, gets stuck in traffic jams, lives side by side with other people, and certain situations simply cannot be changed. However, there are things that are entirely up to you.

Remember that the most important part in weight loss is regular fractional meals. That is, they keep the blood sugar level moderate, preventing its sudden increase. This allows you to avoid stress when losing weight.

In the situation where stress disappears, instincts will not feel the need to save you. This feature is another important advantage of split meals.

Don’t refuse small pleasures

This is a mistake made by 95% of people who have failed to lose weight. It has to do with overestimating results.

One day the scales will stop at the long-awaited mark and now you are sure that the world should put you on a pedestal.

You will definitely be appreciated by your friends and family. You will receive some or more positive comments on social networks.

But for the rest of the world, who will see you on the beach for the first time, you will be no different from the others. You are simply a little chubbier or thinner than most of the people around you, nothing more.

This is the important thing I talked about: you will not deprive yourself of pleasure, but you will replace it.

But what suits you?

Each of us has our own concept of cool.

Someone wants to make a scientific discovery and spends a large part of his life making it happen. Another doesn’t find it interesting at all. Because in his value system it is much more important to get the most luxurious yacht and the most expensive car in the world.

But we will focus on thinking, how can we make beautiful physical appearance and good health our core values? What do you need to do so that all your decisions bring you closer to the goal you want so much?

Our task is to determine why a beautiful figure and good health are cooler than eating unhealthy food. Ar-gu-me-nte!

Be careful, the task is not to convince yourself that this choice is healthy and useful, everyone already knows this.

The important thing is that this becomes cool specifically for you. And absolutely anyone can achieve this.

Think about it, what is really important to you? It can be anything: three children, new gadgets or a collector’s item. And also every day you find a new reason, why having a good physical appearance and good health is beautiful especially in your case.

Remember: you are not trying to find an absolute truth. This is why it’s good to be honest with yourself: if sweets didn’t bring pleasure, no one would eat them. Nobody. It’s a simple truth.

However, it is not worth neglecting the importance of an attractive external appearance – it also has its advantages, and this is also the truth. You are not trying to decide which truth is better, but you will try to convince yourself to choose the right truth, which will be most beneficial to you. You will receive much more pleasure in life if you are free from excess weight, will be healthier and have a slimmer figure.

But I want to warn you: don’t think that this will be a simple thing.

Most people who are asked to write 50 points on why being thin and healthy is great, or they get stuck at the tenth point. And the ten points sounded more or less the same: «Because I will be able to wear my favorite jeans», «Because people around me like my good figure», «Because I will have to spend less on medicine», «Because I will be able to freely lift five stories without losing my breath» and so on. And that’s all.

But the truth is that you have to force your brain to work towards the goal you want. I’m sure that over time you will find suitable arguments to convince yourself: a healthy lifestyle, a beautiful figure and good health are much more important than the brief pleasure of unhealthy food:)
