It all started on Friday with an enriching referee training, followed by a fascinating lesson on the history of karate, enriched with precious historical details led by Hanshi Tallack.
On Saturday I was in charge of a competition area for the kata and sparring events, an experience that took me out of my comfort zone given my experience in Koshiki VS points sparring.

Sunday began with an inspiring visit to the Lions Civic Gardens, home to the DNBK commemorative plaque and dozens of cherry trees.

Then, I had the pleasure of sharing my knowledge by presenting an introduction to Shishi-ryu and Sai Bo no Yakusoku Kumite Heiho.

In the afternoon we presented three Yakusoku Kumite Omote of Shorinjiryu and Shishi-ryu no bo kata, in connection with the morning training. I also gave a demonstration of five MJER iaido kata, inspired by the moment.
To conclude this memorable weekend, I had the honor of officially receiving my Shihan Karatedo license from the DNBK and Hanshi Tallack took the time to present plaques highlighting the awards I received in Japan last month.
