I have always been fascinated by the articles in the newspapers/magazines. When the press still appeared in the printed version, I bought newspapers and cut the particularly interested items. I kept some and, sometimes, when I need inspiration, we browse the yellowish cards.
There is a lot of passion in those «pieces of time».
I made efforts to enter their possession. I was making a road to the newspaper kiosk (sometimes in case of bad weather, in a sad and cold winter days), I was raising funds to buy them every time … there is a great load of passion and from me (the buyer) but also by those who wrote the articles.
I recently discovered some articles published in the magazine «Martial arts» There is a lot of dedication there, there are life stories that can inspire you/impulse/change. There are real stories that can give you the impetus you need to follow your dream (whatever it is). In them you will find enough power to overcome the obstacles in front of you. Or … it simply is good to read beautiful things. It is food for the soul! Sometimes we also need it!
Ok, it’s not that I imagine that I go to Japan and I’m doing it and I will make a mother as much as I will be. No, this is not! But the simple fact that you have the opportunity to enter the universe of these written stories, opens your horizon, puts you on the right path. It is an infinite source of hope. Regardless of the passion you have, when you have the opportunity to discover the people who have dedicated their lives to a passion and have succeeded so many, take the courage to go on the road you have chosen.
Since I know me (and … I know for some time), I put a lot of passion in what I really liked to do. They are not many things. I have always used my passions to the deepest possible resorts. Is the passion for something in time?! I don’t think … I had a period of about 15 years in which my madness with the star defined my life, existence. On all notebooks, textbooks and even on the school bench I wrote the players’ names. I am absolutely convinced that I have colleagues at school who did not know what he called me, but they knew for sure which team. It was a time when I firmly believed I had a red blue blood (if I was cutting and my blood I looked at me carefully and I was waiting for a blue drop 🙂). If Steaua played, I would leave my friends in the playground and came home, there were no negotiations. Today, perhaps, I no longer extend as I did then, but I still look at some games, I still consume, I still know the names of the players (even if, in a moment of maximum annoyance, I proposed not to keep them).
At the same time with madness for the star, I also discovered the passion for sport.
There were some searches – gymnastics, handball, volleyball – but Only martial arts have «tied» me. I always liked to do an activity to learn something, to be a physical but also mental challenge. I know it may seem strange but Real passions are not consumed over time. Turns but does not end. In passions there is a lot of dedication, there is a lot of research so that it becomes part of your daily existence. No obsession, it does not keep you prisoner, on the contrary: it helps you evolve first. It determines you to ask you other questions, gives you other challenges …
I never understood the athletes and artists who say in the interviews that sacrificed their childhood Go to training or lessons and tests, Who gave up playing with friends in front of the house/block to create sports, music, theater, etc.… I never felt to sacrifice something that went to training (and I did it constantly, twice a week, from 7 to 18 years old) or I chose to see a game instead of being with friends. I simply don’t understand the idea of sacrifice in this context … I was just waiting to get to the room! I wanted to be in the training room and my parents didn’t even take me. I was walking alone. I can’t even find an explanation for my ardent desire to be in the room during training. Of course, I never heard something sacrificed, who breaks something in one place. In fact, in no life situation I have never felt I sacrificed or lost something for the good of my passions. When I did what I liked, when I followed my passion, I always felt I was exactly where I would have been at that moment.
Today it is increasingly difficult to find authentic examples of people passionate about something (whatever it is). Unfortunately for us, today television cosmettes everything and throws the idea of passion (watch the talent shows and you will understand what I mean). And somehow the idea is that it does not matter how good and talented you, you do nothing if you do not give a story (preferably tear) that «sells».
Authenticity is the great quality of articles such as those below.
They concern real people who are looking for permanent and improvements. And when you realize that such people do not do what they do to get prizes (medals, money, fame, etc.), it is all the more beautiful. In fact, I think of the dynamics of our existence, one thing should import: VOYAGE. If we make it chaotic or assumed, We all travel. I firmly believe that among the most important things in life there are the journey itself AND Travelers who are next to us.
Unfortunately, today we see more and more people who give up their dreams too easily or who are waiting for passions. This is what happens because the company trivializes everything and we prefer to suffocate the inner voice to take another step on the social scale. This is the reason why I think it would be nice to have many articles of these on the internet and that they are easy to find by anyone. We also need an alternative to the examples of «success» that are pushed to us in front of the media. I could find them by reading the first print. We could find out if we do what we like.
