Lazy people aren’t really lazy


Laziness is a very insidious state. It usually comes when you finally decide to take action and improve your figure, health, career, etc. It is laziness that leads many to believe in the existence of a «magic pill» that combats all problems, especially excess weight. That is to say, it causes you to stumble in the same place and not get the desired results.

Do you know what laziness is? Today we will look at three, the most common, types of this condition.

Laziness is fear, sustained over a period of time

Surely you have gone through this state at least once: you postpone an action for an indefinite period, and when X day comes, you postpone it again for later. «I’m a lazy man!» you will say And you will be right, only partially.

Most often, this state speaks of what, which a person is afraid of. Always postpone going to the gym or your first run in the park because the thought of these events causes internal discomfort:

  • I don’t know anyone there.
  • And what will I do there, I don’t even know how to turn on the treadmill.
  • People in the park will judge me by their appearance because I have cellulite.
  • Models at the gym will point at me and laugh at my untoned thighs.

This list of fears can go on and on. But only the person who finally decides to leave his comfort zone and take action achieves a result. How to do it?

One small step every day.

Today you can watch themed videos on choosing the right sportswear, and tomorrow you can go and buy it. The day after tomorrow you can study correct running technique or how fitness equipment works. Then you do a test workout at home: you do a warm-up, hold two one-liter bottles of water in your hands and do some exercises. how do you feel Agreed, when you have a clear plan of action, it’s less scary.

Selective laziness

What is selective laziness? It is the situation where you are lazy in doing certain things, selectively. Upon closer examination, it may turn out that the «target» of a lazy man is the goals and objectives that are more profitable for other people. For example, you have to opt for sugar, which you personally do not use, or start swelling your ass, like Jennifer Lopez, even if in general everything suits you in your figure.

There is a choice: either you make another person’s goal your goal, or you categorically refuse to do things with which you do not agree.

Just lazy 🙂

It is also sometimes called willpower. She, like a child inside you, is capricious and tells you what to do when you decide to act.

For example, you want to lose weight. The athletic trainer says: “You will undoubtedly lose weight! But you have to train every day. And here doubts overwhelm you and laziness whispers to you: “Of course, this is not for us, without a doubt! We will find another trainer who will offer 3 workouts a week of 5 minutes each.»

And then you leave the gym. Deep down it’s a little sad that weight loss workouts are on hold again, but you’ve satisfied your laziness and she’s secretly celebrating her victory over you.

Stop satisfying laziness and start training willpower!

Every time you wake up at the sound of the alarm and don’t sleep for another 10 minutes, you train your willpower!

Every time you do 5 more squats or lunges saying «I can’t do this anymore», you train your willpower!

This approach will allow you to take control of your life, to forget what it means to be a «lazy man!» and to do what you want, not your laziness.

Sometimes you have to be a little harder on yourself to achieve your desired goal. And don’t let that scare you. You will soon appreciate the favorable effects of discipline on your life 🙂
