De ce Taiji si Qigong cu noi?

Yes, the WHO has already recognized and recommended Taiji as a therapeutic and prophylactic practice, with easy movements, accessible to any age. But it’s much more than just a movement.

It is a return close to Nature and its rhythms, to recognize the extremes (Yin/Yang) and harmonize them, dynamically. Otherwise it’s just conflict, surplus of similar energies or in other words… inflammation, perhaps a disease of the century.

After internal Chinese practices, I also had the joy of discovering traditional practices from other geographical areas, Peru, Colombia and getting closer to their essence beyond the forms promoted in the various schools. This all makes a lot of sense, under certain circumstances. Conscious details make the difference. So, we chose to do a few things differently so that it works and everyone can customize their technique and practice as they see fit. This is what I learned in private lessons with various masters of various traditions. Taiji was never designed for group practice. It makes sense in a didactic or ritual sense and here’s another story…

But what exactly do we do if we don’t focus on the Forms/Outer Forms?

???? Postural alignments – we begin by reconnecting to our body, statically, with the breath as a bridge towards inner perception. The movement is said to be a flow of postures, as if these personal reference points begin to dissolve. I also had a teacher in Taiwan who said «from here we will merge into the next technique…»

???? The earth – a good posture is one in which we feel contact with the Earth and therefore on another level with Mother Nature. This is the only way to best release the stagnant energy that blocks us. For example, the Kidney meridian, responsible for Fear and Shame, ends firmly in the sole of the foot. By sitting correctly, we can learn to release these energies before they accumulate new ones! (leading to inflammation)

???? movement – a Flow of postures, with a relaxed state, also induces the state of Flow but also profound deprogramming processes. Thanks to my teachers from Taiwan & Japan, we practice overcoming/»dissolving» the external form, following the depth of the gesture, the energetic implications and the state of mind (Qigong is included in Taiji)

???? breath – it is an extremely important aspect in relaxation, in establishing a relationship with the vagus nerve, which is so important and little known. And we have types of breathing in static exercises as well as in dynamic forms.

???? Tuishou – validation of internal practice through exercises with a partner (openness and connection to the other, a rather difficult topic, especially psychologically)

???? Fajing – sudden emissions of energy that clean the meridians, quickly release tension, emotional release, only after having had a solid Grounding..

And then we resume the cycle but not mechanically, but in a spiral as perception and degree of feeling and gradually we can reach a Spontaneous, free Taiji, thanks to our Intention (Yi) and Intuition.

Tempting? Stop thinking and join us for a free first session, Friday from 7pm. TO Taiji and Qigong / Judo room of the «Mircea Eliade» high school, Splaiul Indep. 315-317

(***1:1 courses and based therapies are also possible Qigong/Shiatsufascial maneuvers. You can contact me directly for this. And you can also contact us for any courses and seminars in the country, we gladly support any initiative).

Conclusion

The journey of Taiji and Qigong is not a simple repetition of forms, but a continuous evolution—a spiral of awareness that deepens with each movement and breath. Through constant practice, perception refines, feeling expands, and what once felt mechanical begins to flow with natural grace. This is the path toward Spontaneous Taiji, where every gesture arises effortlessly from the harmony of Intention (Yi) and Intuition. In this state, mind and body no longer struggle for control; they move as one, guided by presence and inner stillness.

To reach this freedom, one must first let go of overthinking and embrace direct experience. Taiji and Qigong are not about mastering techniques, but about rediscovering the balance that already exists within us. Every practice session becomes a dialogue between movement and stillness, between structure and spontaneity. Over time, what begins as conscious effort transforms into fluid expression—a reflection of life itself, where energy circulates freely and awareness expands naturally.

The invitation to join a session is, therefore, more than an offer to learn a discipline—it is an invitation to reconnect with oneself. Whether through group practice or personalized sessions, each encounter becomes a step toward inner alignment and vitality. These arts teach us to breathe more fully, move more mindfully, and live more consciously.

In the end, Taiji and Qigong are not merely physical exercises but living philosophies. They remind us that true mastery is not about control, but about harmony—allowing intention and intuition to merge, until movement becomes meditation. To step onto the mat is to begin that spiral journey toward clarity, energy, and freedom—the quiet art of returning to oneself.
