Even when you are not good at cooking, or simply don’t have time to do it, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat correctly and balancedly. Nutritionists say that simply by including fruits and vegetables in your daily diet you will find the solution to many problems. Here are some useful tips for losing weight, which you can put into practice when you want to eat healthy, and which will not require you to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

Prepare several portions of food

If you don’t have time to cook fresh food for each meal, I recommend preparing multiple portions, which will be enough for two or three days. I don’t think you will be able to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner using one recipe. But you will certainly be able to prepare several portions of the main course, which you will diversify to your liking.

Choose the foods that you like most and that keep well in the refrigerator. For example, you can cook meat, which you can combine with different side dishes, salads or vegetables in different meals. Store portions in plastic or glass containers, label them and store in the refrigerator.

With each passing day, focus on your diet, prepare food containers in advance, prepare other portions of food for the following days. Repeat these steps every day and preparing healthy foods will become a pleasant habit.

More fruit and vegetables

It is well known: fruits and vegetables are a mandatory component of a healthy diet. They are a source of vitamins, minerals, fiber and many other valuable nutrients. It doesn’t matter if you are in fruit and vegetable season or not, increase the amount of them in your diet.

Fruits and vegetables are most nutritious and useful when they are ripe, that is, during harvest. It is usually during this period that they can be purchased, frozen or canned. If there are no seasonal fruits and vegetables on store shelves, don’t hesitate to use frozen or canned products.

Forget fast food if you want good health

The presence of fast food is inevitable in the lives of modern people, especially those who have very little time.

The way fast food harms the body is clear: excessive consumption of fast food leads to obesity, causes many diseases and affects physical and mental development.

This is why the most important tip for losing belly weight and acquiring a healthy body is to eat as few «classic» fast food products as possible. If you still buy ready-made foods, opt for rice with vegetables, seafood or something similar. Always remember one simple truth.

If you consume more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. If you burn more than you consume, you will lose weight.

The smoothie is our friend

If you own a blender or food processor, many meal prep problems are easily solved. Simply chop up your veggies, fruits and berries, add some milk, ice cream or yogurt and you have a delicious, healthy smoothie.

The smoothie always contains fruit and has not undergone heat treatments. The drink is rich in vitamins, fibre, minerals and can be prepared in a few minutes.

Consume whole grains

Whole wheat is a product that contains all the components of natural wheat in the form in which it is grown and matured. Many nutrients are present in whole grains, the most important being the grain hull (bran).

The fiber in whole grains is quite low in calories, but is digested quite slowly. The feeling of satiety will last longer and the blood sugar level will remain stable.

Nowadays there are many simple and healthy recipes for cooking brown rice, wheat porridge or oatmeal. Try to choose porridges, which require longer boiling. This means that they have not undergone any additional processing.

If you don’t know how to cook or don’t have enough time to do it, don’t be discouraged. There are always solutions to a given problem: trying new recipes, combining ingredients or ordering healthy food at home.
